Public Holiday: Bermuda Day is the highlight of Heritage Month, the month of May. This holiday, which takes on the name of our beloved Island, was formerly known as Victoria Day (after Queen Victoria), Empire Day, Commonwealth Day, Heritage Day, Bermuda Day and now National Heroes Day. "Life in Old Bermuda" is the theme for Heritage Month and the Bermuda Day Parade. The parade starts in the City of Hamilton and ends at Bernard Park in Pembroke where entertainment continues. Other island-wide activities held throughout the day are posted individually.
